Heres my problem I have these2 Dewalt 5" Grinders one runs a flap and the other a cutoff wheel all the time1 9" dewalt just for the big jobs1 milwakee 4.5 that runs a cup brush all the time1 Harbor freight that runs a small cup brushthats 5 grinders I need to make a rack for them that will hold them straight and not by the cords that the problem now I hang them on the cords an I think it is to much stress on itIt needs to be made out of angle or channel and I need to mount it to my pegboard in my garage with the rest of my tools, any ideas I have searched but no luck, all grinders have guards and handles except for the harbor freight, I wan the rack to be made to have them hanging dic toward the wallthanks,
Reply:Two pegs spaced the right distance apart for each grinder.  I actually just bought pegs and stuck them in the pegboard.  I think there was two holes between pegs to fit the dia of the grinding disk.  the cup brush, is going to be tricky though. My name's not Jim....
Reply:Grinders with guards hang nicely on a vertical edge. Just fasten a 2 x 1/4" strap (or angle, which won't bow under weight) to the wall, far enough out for the grinders to hang from the guards, wheel toward wall. Five grinders is a lot of weight for pegboard, even 1/4".Leave room for another grinder................or 6. 9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey. Reply:Good idea on the angle iron, Craig.  What about pegs to either side for extra support? Not too sure about the cups, though ... might need a small shelf underneath for those. And with enough wall anchors, anything is possible ....Last edited by SpyGuy; 09-18-2009 at 12:54 AM.
Reply:not my idea, but a good one, I copied the photos to a file of endless projects to build someday, or for ideas.  This might give you an idea.

Reply:For a pegboard mount, I'd want a base plate piece that attaches to several different holes -- to distribute the load.  At least on ordinary pegboard, which is pretty lightweight stuff.Jack OlsenMy garage website
Reply:thank you guys, heres my plan now Piece of 1/4"x2" Flat holes drilled in it, will weld a 2x2 angle to it then mount it to my top 2x8 on my garage block this should work perfectJon

Reply:just got done making a holder, works great, will post pics, I cut my flat wide enough to bolt to my studs on my wall behind the pegboard, I then put my cutoff wheels and grinding disc under them on pegboard hooks
