I was just looking over Tensaitekis shade project and it reminded me of one I worked on last year. Funny hearing about vague architect ideas and such, story of my life. Anyways myself and 4 others from my old shop built this last winter. This is the covering over the open walkwaySome artwork you see walking down the stairsThe main walkway, you can see the stair canopy in the backgroundside view of the stair canopy. The seaweed is waterjetted 1/2" steel. I spent a 10 hour day doing a full radius on the leading edge with a grinder seaweed behind the benches, every other column had a bench. I wish I had pictures of the seats, they are 1" thick fused glass art with marine life in each oneanyways, enjoy, feel free to ask questions. if I find more pictures I'll post them up for sure
Reply:Wow, that's pretty wild!  Where is that?  (Obviously an airport ...)That is some great work you guys did .....
Reply:In that last pic I thought "oh, what a neat little bench" - then I noticed the double doors behind it.  It's enormous!
Reply:Its actually at the ferry dock in bremerton, washington. The benches are really cool. The frame is all 1/4-3/8 plate, and the top side is just a frame made with 1 1/2"x3/8" angle. Inside on each side there's a light that lights up the glass at night. And yes, its a pretty big structure
Reply:Very Cool FelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious, pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"
