The idea came after trying to purchase a deltoid side lateral attachment for my weightlifting bench but finding it is no longer made or available. This is my first attempt at welding anything. It's not pretty but it is functional and exactly what I wanted. I've used it several times now and it works great, not that there is much to it. My ego is still a little inflated.Top photo: commercial item no longer made2d photo: finished welding my first project3d photo: painted and padded, ready to go4th photo: hanging on wall for storage Attached Images

Reply:That should work. For your next project, you might consider an angle grinder with a flap sanding disc. That'd get rid of a lot of those little boogers that hang all over the metal, make it nice and smooth. The soldering toys pay for the welding toys.Hakko 928 dual iron, 4xHakko 936Madell 850D Hot Air SMT ReworkMiller 252, HTP Invertig 201 AC/DC, and a Hypertherm 45.
