Well a good friend of mine, a member of this board, has a 96 ford explorer that used to run 10.80s in the quarter mile with a supercharger. A few years have gone by and the truck needs a make over, so I've stepped up to do all of the fab work, and this is what I've completed thus far. Once we're done with the fabrication, the car will be blown apart and completely rebuilt.and the man behind the madness (Binford tools t-shirt ftw)
Reply:Nice LTA intercooler! This looks like an awesome project. Keep the photos coming. Planning on running a few layers of stainless heat shield between the downpipe and the intercooler core? All V-Band connections it looks like - very nice. Jason
Reply:Thanks, V-bands are placed where ever possible. A heat shield shouldn't be necessary as all the parts are going to be ceramic coated, but time will tell. Next update will be in a few weeks, we only have time on sundays to dedicate to this project.
