Looking at purchasing a small slip roll. Around 24" should be fine. Want 16 gauge capacity, and I don't want a piece of junk (like HF). I found a used one locally, it is an ENCO. Don't know anything about them. Any recommendations on something that is well built? The Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --

Reply:The shop where I was a few years ago had a really nice vertical slip roll. 1-1/4" thick 12' wide was the rating. That thing was a beast. I miss it.

Reply:Most of what you see in the Grizz, Enco, HF,Jet etc listings are Chinese maybe a little Taiwan mixed in. Seems to be of varying quality, most not good but depends on your usage requirements. However, Enco did have some good stuff about 20 yrs ago. Had an Enco badged boring head, made in France that was NICE, well made.Don't know if you can gauge the age of the slip roll you are looking at.
