Found a millermatic 150 on the Green bay Wisconsin's Craigslist. The guy is asking 850.00 For it. I feel that is probably to much, but if it is a fair price would I be better off buying a new millermatic 180 for about the same. I know the 180 is a smaller case compared to the 150. Is that modern technology or is the bigger case 150 more of an industrial type machine. last question for now what would be a good price for it.Thanks, Joe P.S. It dose come with a small tank about 18" tall, but I have a tank so that really doesn't matter.Last edited by 66plymouth; 12-07-2011 at 10:41 PM.

Reply:$850 is definitely way to high of a price for a MM 150.A Millermatic is roughly going to offer around the same duty cycle. The 180 is going to offer more top end power. The MM 150 only offers four voltage tap selections, whereas the 180 is a variable voltage unit.Broccoli 1's recommendation of a Handler 210 over the MM 150 is a good idea.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice

Reply:Wow!!! Ok so what's it worth? Don't really want to pay 850.00 for a new or used machine. Just not going to use it enough. I have an old miller cricket, but just wanted something that will weld a little heaver. Oh and by the way looking at tig machine that i will post for some opinions as soon as i get some more info on it.Thanks guys....
Reply:Any help????
Reply:Tractor Supply has the Hobart Handler 190 with spoolgun for $819.99. Still more machine than the MM-150, and it has the spoolgun. This is brand new with warranty, so more machine for less green. Maybe this is the route you should be looking to go.
Reply:I bought a Millermatic 150 used this year for $575 with a big tank. It's an "orphan" machine but mine was barely used and seems to weld pretty good. You may have already made your decision but I'm happy with my purchase.John MatthewsHeartbeat Power |
