Reply:The 18 series torch will take the same parts the 17 series torch that came with the machine will. Personally I like the 20 series torches better than the bigger 18 series ones the tech school has.How much you have invested in parts for your existing torch and how small and maneuverable you need the torch to be will play a part in this. It would be a toss up for me which way I'd go. I've got a ton of 17/18 series parts, but not a lot of 20 series parts. I do like the small compact 20 series torch better, and all else aside, that's the way I would go. Probably look at a CK torch that would match up to a 20 series torch rather than the Weldcraft ones. ( can't remember the model number right now).  IIRC the CK torches have a higher duty cycle rating..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:I got a ck 225Sf fx http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=7614 and that torch is awesome. A lot more comfortable to use than the weldcraft cs310 it replaced.
