building a natural gas fire pit.  Originally, i just wanted an U shaped pipe burner (black pipe with a series of drilled hole).  After digging around online, it seems that pipe burners will produce yellow flame, which means the gas is not completely burned and wont produce as much heat as i expected.  so i was thinking adding a venturi will help.is this a viable option:gas outlet --> ball valve --> venturi --> T fitting -->branch off to about 4" --> 90 degree bend --> 24" black pipe with holes drilled -->end cap.this will be used outside for warmth/atmosphere.  not for cooking.
Reply:ug, forgot to include a pic of the venturi.3/4" female pipe thread thats on the back side (not visible in pic) Attached Images
Reply:sort of like this, but no burner at the end.  just capped off at the end and with holes on the top (or sides, or bottom) fo the pipe. Attached Images
Reply:apparently, you cant T-off after the venturi, so i'll just get a larger diameter pipe.nevermind, i found some help... mods, can you delete this thread?
