Trailer tongue jack repair

This was a repair I did on a car hauler trailer for a customer at an rv park.  He ran the tongue jack into something and bent the jack and the channel it was mounted to.  I removed the old channel and jack and replaced with new.   Machines used were the Passport mig with .035 T-11, Hypertherm PM380 plasma and 2-stage compressor on the truck.Channel is 6x2x1/4.  Hole was cut free-hand with the plasma.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:My tailgate doesn't clear the jack on my utility trailer, so I am actually thinking about relocating it farther back.  It would be nice to be able to drop it so I can more easily access the bed.Miller Millermatic 212... and that's about it... for now...

Reply:Have been reviewing your jobs, nice work. I am a little surprised your customer did not hurt the tongue frame a little assuming all the damage to the channel plate and jack. Reply:Well you certainly have the tool set. I to am interested in the Power 30 and have been looking for a used powered air compressor for some time.  One will pop up in due time.
