Its snowing

This is the second year in a row that we have snow.( last year Dec 11 2008, and today Dec 4, 2009)  Its been several years since we have had this much snow.

Reply:Snow in Louisiana eh ?  Hmmm, that must suck pretty bad.  I imagine it doesn't stay on the ground very long though, eh ?The Drifts here are so high right now that I can't open the front Door....  (Maybe it'll go away on it's own...Temperature is about to hit -19 Celsius and -27 by Friday night....  Ah well, lot's of time in the SHOP ! Reply:jman,it doesn't last long, but nice to see my three daughters get so excited. By 10:00 am it will all be gone. After going through boot camp at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. in the middle of winter, asked the good lord to get me back to south La. and hoped I would never see snow and ice again. Reply:you got snow in houma? over here in nola we got cold, and we got rain, but no snow.  shame, i had saved a cup full of it from last year in the freezer from last year that just melted about a month ago.  yes, snow is that rare around here that its not that uncommon to try and keep it, not sure what i was going to do with it, but something that rare has to be worth something, right?

Reply:We had a 172 car Pile-Up on our MAIN artery in and out of the City a couple of days ago....  It gets pretty crazy here when we get Blizzards and the City ROAD Cleanup is a JOKE !  The guys doing the cleaning are GREAT, but the people calling the shots for Snow REMOVAL and Sanding / Salting musta' been dropped on their Heads as infants....  Gawd, it's just embarrassing.  Anyhow, those Cute Kids of Yours would have a HOOT sledding and Snow-Boarding around here... !Cheers,/Jman... Reply:jman,Nice dog.     Goldens rule.  Yeah, we got snow here this weekend too.  Snowed on Saturday, about 4 inches.  Nothing like up in Alaska or Calgary or lake-effect New York, but it was snow.  Spent Sunday cleaning the driveway and the sidewalks, etc.  The best laid schemes ... Reply:Well just heard this year was supposed to be one of the hottest again, so that must be imaginary snow!!!!BTW I miss Houma, best food I ever had!!!
