Had to try out my new phone sorry about the poor pics still trying to learn how to use it.Back Drag on 8 ft fisher and a bumper for the sander.Used my miller 251 with .035 wire I'll be doing a lot of these if the snow keeps up Attached Images
Reply:Interesting. How do you use the backdrag? Do you just unhook the chains and then back up? Do you leave the chains undone most of the time when you push? Are you doing your drive or parking lots with it? I'd appreciate some more picts on how it's mounted and used if possible. That's one of the few things I don't care for much with my Fisher. It doesn't backdrag anywhere near as well as the old Meyers I had years ago. Pushing it's a tank. I have the additional cutting edge on mine and an 8" edge rather than the stock 6" one normally used. That increases my front angle on the edge and the truck just doesn't have anymore front lift to raise the blade to adjust the attack angle. 99% of what I do is just push as I do residential streets for the township. The only backdragging I do is in my drive and my neighbors usually..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:The Fishers leave a mess when you try to back drag that why I make alot of these for the landscapers that do a lot of drive ways they claim it works I've never used one I just make them The chain just holds it up when not in use that all it used for to keep it up out of the way when driving. This is how it works ever time you drop the blade the back drag hits the ground first. straight up but when you back up it hits the trip edge of the plow and the backdrag scrape the ground once you go forward the backdrag flips back and now or back on the cutting edge I'll try to get more picks when I do the next one |
