What size of welding gap, if any, and rod should be used when welding 1" x 1" x 1/8" square tube steel to a trailer frame. Making a mobile food cart and I need to get everything in place and tacked for a professional welder.

Reply:Everybody will have their own personal preferences, depending on how everything goes together. You should probably get the welder that will do the finished welding to look at it ahead of time and tell you what he wants.
