I have been messing with This wire for a week or two. The first time I ran it, I condemed it. The next time I got it to run, this time I think I am getting the hang of it. Its for out of position welding. It has one heck of a thick puddle. Beads on 1/8" seemed to lay on top. When I turned the heat up, they fell through the plate and the bead was on the other side. I settled on 200 ipm, 18.1 volts. Gas was 92/8. Wire is Spoolarc65 .035.One backhand bead (pull) and one forehand.Last edited by David R; 03-13-2008 at 09:19 PM.Real world weldin. Reply:Then I went for the out of position with 3/16" X 5" cold rolled. I started at 200 ipm, 18 volts and kept turning the wire and volts up. All short arc with 92/8. Bead is huge for the plate Losing control at 350 ipm 18.5v400ipm and 19 volts. More than I can handle.Last edited by David R; 03-13-2008 at 09:27 PM.Real world weldin. Reply:92/8 gas at short-circuit voltage levels? What I see, is what I get, I suppose. Nice demo again, David! Thanks!City of L.A.
