I have been looking for a replacement auto dark lense for my pipeliner hood, I had a jackson that lasted 6 months and quit working and never could get it replaced, I have about decided on the optrel nova or the arcone ss240 just wondering if anybody knew of a good place to order either one from and if anybody had any experience with either one.
Reply:I wouldnt have any idea as to where to order or buy either one as I do not know where you are. But I've been using the optrel for about 6 mouths now and my father has been using one for longer than that. But the optrel I've been using is a great hood it has plenty of viewing area the tint I have is on the dark side I don't know if optrel offers lighter lenses or not

Reply:I had an Optrel OSEvolution, I paid over 400 dollars for it, it lasted less then 4 years, the auto darkening module went on it, they want 400 for a new module, 425 for a new helmet. I am now a miller digital owner and love it. at least you have batteries to replace to revive the unit.Guy_48Welding is an art......Millermatic 252Lincoln SP175PlusLincoln 225 AC/DC

It looks like its cloudy so to speak, I don't know if cloudy is the right word for it but it's lighter and darker in places.it's the first ADF i've ever used and I'm not sure it's working right,Is yours like that? |
