Oil pans?

Notice how many oil pan threads there are all of a sudden? Wtf? There are strange forces afoot! Multiple forums. Just search oil pan for all forums.

Reply:The terrorists are trying to knock out America's transportation network by knocking holes in everyones oilpans. Or maybe they figure if we are leaking oil, we will have to buy more of their oil to replace what is leaking out. Thus adding to their coffers, financing their operations. Reply:I guess sh!t just happens but I don't see how so many alum. pans can get holes knocked in them all of a sudden. Bistineau, maybe you're right,LOL!! Reply:They will only take out effeminate aluminum oil pans, not Manly Steel Pans whose TPF (Testosterrific Protective Field) deflects obstacles and protects delicate engine internals.This is merely natural selection. Reply:I guess my question about alu. pans is: are they to save weight or better heat dissipation?
