My apologies, this post was moved from another thread as I thought it would be more appropriate here...This may seem like an odd question... but I have to believe there is a way to convert a Lincoln 175T (about 4-5 years old) to be compatible with a spool gun setup. I realize that the plug and trigger are different from the newer lower power lincoln welders (now able to use spool guns), now using a 4-wire Amphenol plug, but I am hoping there may be a solution. I simply cannot justify purchasing a new welder, and keeping my work a straight stretch away from my welder is becoming a pain in the rear for welding aluminum. Any suggestions other than sorry not possible?
Reply:Talk to a repair tech. When I asked I was told the magnum 100 would work on my bud's weldpak 155. I'm not sure if I trust them though. I haven't looked at the newer machines and have yet to see the spool gun.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:Hey! You could hook a Cobramatic wire feed box to It Might be a little underpowered but should work I have one for sale in the for sale section Thanks! |
