Tomorrow is my mothers birthday and I had been trying to figure out what to make for her. I remembered the thread posted recently about a flower made of spoons. I thought I would give that a try. It is a tulip...kind of. I discovered after making it that a tulip only has 6 petals, not 10. Oh well, too late now. I hammered the stem to give it a nicer look. Hope you guys like the flower. Wow, that wasn't a very manly thing to say... Attached ImagesMiller Millermatic 212... and that's about it... for now...

Reply:I was one of the uys who made roses with spoons, and your tulip is beautiful. I'm glad your mom liked it - I gave one to my mom, too!

Reply:Great job, but welders spooning?I don't know if the world is ready for that.
Reply:Even better than Target: just go to your local Goodwill, Salvation Army, or thrift store. You can usually pick up a handful of old silverware for pennies.

Reply:Originally Posted by bartels_metal_worksWell, you see...I thought about that a little too late in the day. As it was I took a half day off from work the day before her birthday to make it. There are no thrift stores in my town, so I would have been driving a lot and wasting fuel. This time it just worked out best to go to Target. |
