I just purchased a TD Cutmaster52 and am looking to construct a cutting table on which to work on projects. I was wondering if you folks would be so kind as to post a few photos of tables you have constructed and/or any plans you may have come across. Thanks.

Reply:I am a weekend-backyard-don't-know-nuthin'-wannabe and built this table just for cutting metal. The 1 x 1/8 slats are set loose cross-wise in slots cut into the two length-wise supports so they can be flipped or replaced when they have been cut to crap from the torch. Even the two supports are angles with an added flat making them more like a "T" layed sideways so tjhe slotted part can be replaced without chopping out the angles.I later hacked the legs off a few inches above the 3" swivel casters and replaced 'em with 8" swivel casters procured from Harbor Freight. When not in use I roll it around the back of the house and cover it with a cheapo tarp. Reply:CNC tables or just cutting tables?Nikodell has the best online source for CNC IMHO.Mondo's table would be great for any small job,be it hobby or I/C.Mondo,we built tables kind of like yours at my old job.We had a CNC laser cutter and the slats looked like teeth.So we took the idea and ran with it for our plasma tables.They were built like yours in away.They were 8ft x 8ft,30" high,and didn't have casters.The laser cutter could only handle 5ft x 10ft plate and the machine sides that we cut were usually 8ft x 8ft and some were 8ft x14ft.We had an add a section to make the table bigger.We laid out a vinyl stencil so we knew were to cut so the parts would fit correctly.
Reply:I see all the little price tags on your flat stock and angle I bet that table was pretty costly huh? But it does look pretty good, I like the replaceable flat bar. Just looks a little high for torchin

Reply:Great looking table !I'm not real fussy about cutting over anything flat... I prefer to cut over 'Open Air' such as a metal Barrel / Drum or the 'Edge' of the table.
