This is not really related to welding except that I fixed the seat on my excavator that I use to move steel to weld......bit of a stretch maybe?I thought bad weather today so I would like to do something inside. So I thought I would just make a new seat cover for my excavator. Something real quick...didn't work out that way. It took me all day to get the seat out, pull the fabric off cut out leather replacement. Then I decided it would be good to tool the seat and put our farm name on the seat. That took a while. But finally I got it back together and I am sure I can operate my excavator much better now. But now the wife thinks we should have chairs tooled like my seat...oopps. Attached Images
Reply:Looks good, and i hear you on the simplest thing taking forever haha i hate it, took me an hour to change a bank 1 O2 sensor on my truck in the parkinglot of my dorm building in freezing weather the other day... it would have taken 5 min if i had my O2 socket or a crows foot.Oh and just because i operate machines at work when im home i gotta ask what kind it is...Miller Dynasty 300 DXMiller CST280Miller Maxstar 150 STH
Reply:It is a small Hitachi, only five tons but perfect for what I need on the farm.
Reply:Dont feel bad... the mechanics at the shop I work at struggle with those seat covers. Removing the seat is a feat on its own not to mention trying to wrestle an undersized cover on the pad and frame. |
