Reply:I imagine you could short the pins that go to the gun, then look for the rollers to spin and take a volt meter across the terminals. That wont tell you if it is really functional (it still might not kick out enough amps), but it would be a good indication.

Reply:I don't know, just like picking them up for cheap money and getting them running, better than the scrap pile, bought this one for $65 . Put a gun on it, fixed some really poor looking wires and connections and Walah, running MIG welder, by the way far superior to any $90 HF MIG, do you agree? Now if it sits around so be it, if someone needs to borrow it fine,if someone want to buy it for 2-300 everybody is better off , Agree? Some guys redo tractors, Me it's Welders and Compressors. HaHa Currently sits in my mobile enclosed trailer and can run off my Weldanpower with my double plug adapter(amperage draw) so if I run into a sheet metal issue out there, just buzz it up. Don't have to pack or unpack my MM251.Last edited by kolot; 02-20-2012 at 10:07 PM."Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251 Syncrowave 300 30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200 1 short hood SA250 SAM 400
