could someone show me a pic of what a proper weld looks like on the inside of aluminum pipe. Reason for asking is im build ing an aluminum cold side for my turbo project. Ive been teaching my self to tig and i been working with on flat aluminum and doing pretty good and have cut some piping and tigged it back together its deff harder but im getting the hang of it. Ijust would like to see the inside pics to see what im suppose to be working toward.
Reply:You might have better luck if you post pics of the insides of your welds and have people just critique them, the guys on here can be very articulate when it comes to discussing whether or not a weld looks good. Reply:what are those couplers? I know you said quick disconnect, but I've never anything like used on a turbo project.
Reply:Those are QD's for hoses. I've seen them used on discharge pumps, septic trucks, tankers and other fluid lines. The ones I've worked with start at 2" and go to 4" dia, but I've also seen bigger ones like 6". They are not turbo parts..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
