Hi guys, just posted an introduction post in the New Member area and as promised here are a couple of pics of my latest projects. All were welded with my Hobart Handler 140 using .030 or .035 Flux-Cored wire. Be kind, I'm just a hobbyist who likes to play with fire Fabbed side-bars (the things with the tape on them) for a dunebuggy I'm re-building.With the skidplate mounted, has since been trimmed to fit the frame.Added a crossbar for harnesses to attach to roll bar for the dunebuggy project. After returning from Powdercoating.Lastest project: I added an arrow strip to the rear of my work truck and mounted a gaurd to protect the arrowstrip from damage.Another angle--KevinHobart Handler 140Lousy chop sawBig fire extinguisher"If I could keep my workbench from catching on fire I'd be un-stoppable!"
Reply:cool buggy, Kevin. Do you have a link for those lights? I'm interested in some for my tractor.Millermatic 175Black and Decker hacksaw
Reply:Coreshot, the company I work for provided the arrow strip, they just left it up to me to install it and figure-out a way to fab something to keep it from getting destroyed. Previously I had a back-up camera in the same area as where the arrow strip now lives. It survived a week before being taken-out by a forklift. The arrow strip was made by a company named PRO Series. I didn't see a model number on it. I asked our fleet manager for more info but he didn't know much more about it. It would look cool on a rockcrawler.--KevinHobart Handler 140Lousy chop sawBig fire extinguisher"If I could keep my workbench from catching on fire I'd be un-stoppable!"
