Oberdorfer pump Issue/Bernard/Hobart TIG Cooler

I have a Bernard Stainless cooler with an Oberdorfer bronze pump. I bought it used years ago. It has always been loud. I had to service it this week. Change the coolant and flush it out as well as replace the old pickup screen. You can get the screens at Mcmaster by the way. Anyway, I thought the fan was the culprit of the noise. If so I was going to run some quiet muffin fans near the heat exchanger.So I took the pump coupling off and just ran the fan. The fan is not the culprit. The fan noise is very quiet actually. So the culprit is in fact the Oberdorfer pump. I thought to myself, well I will just take apart the pump and see why these are so loud. Came apart pretty easy except the snap ring on the shaft inside the body, between the seal/spring set up. Finally figured it out and got it all apart. Did not see any wear anywhere. Even the carbon bushings are in great shape. So I put it all back together and went about servicing my fluid. I get it all back in the tight quarters of my welding cart and turn it on. Oh, I also put an inline gauge because when I took the pump apart I cleaned and inspected the adjustable regulator so I lost my pressure settings. So I fired the pump up and now have a pretty good leak from the front seal of the pump. Just my luck. So I took it apart again and put the spring seal in dry. On the front of the body there is also a snap ring which holds a front white bushing with an O ring on the outer circumference of the bushing. This seals the shaft outer body. It does not leak from there. It leaks where the shaft exits out of the center of the white bushing. The second time around it did not leak as bad. It also looks like the white bushing is not butting up against the snout snap ring. I priced a rebuild kit and it cost half as much as what I paid for the cooler. Any ideas. I can get 2 procon units for what the rebuild kit costs.
