I've got an older SA-200 That I bought in a box about 30 years ago and rebuilt. Hasn't been used much and has about 500 hrs on the clock since rblt. Runs great & wlds great, everything works including the governor, mounted on a trailer. I don't really have much use for it anymore, and would far rather have a decent MIG. Thought about selling the 200 and buying a MIG, but I don't know what it's worth. Thought about looking into a suitcase to use w/the 200, don't want to spend that much money. Thought about seeing if I could trade it for a decent MIG. Any suggestions?
Reply:Serial # on the SA? Post it here and we can tell you what year it was manufactured. Buying it in a box and rebuilding suggests a Red Face maybe? What did the rebuild entail? Overhaul the engine and the generator? Posting more information would help, letting folks know exactly what they are looking at. Photos would help too. SA's tend to go for less on the East Coast than they do in the Mid or South West. If you have photos and good information, posting here and the AWS Forum and Craigslist for sale or trade would get you some amount of feedback for sure.Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money. -Cree Indian ProverbSA 200 LincolnVictor Torches |
