Reply:post some pictures of what your building... we're always curious.here's a good selection.http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-casters/=gqohsfI've been buying casters at the flea market. there are a few guys that normally have a few dozen big old ones. I normally pay a few bucks apiece when I buy them all. I like the cast iron ones around the shop... the rubber ones pick up turnings.

Reply:That guy makes sundown sound like mother theresa! Hey sundown, you need to turn it up a notch! so the critics can really have something to fuss over. LOL That guy hasn't worked in the trades. He would not have any teeth left.I saw guy a few years ago come out with a similar attitude and he was found layed out in the bathroom. He either hit his head on someone's fist or he fell asleep and sat on the pot fully clothed to do his business and fell a sleep. He didn't seem to remember which it was.Edit: General disclaimers here I mean no offence to anyone and no small animals were publicly hurt in the posting of this message.

Reply:I didn't think the prices were all that bad. $50-$70 for antique looking reproduction iron casters seams reasonable to me anyway. Almost any new ones are going to cost $30+.My name's not Jim....
Reply:That link he gave does have expensive castors. I bought the same ones 9" for about $90 for two, his link wants $245 plus $45 for shipping for four castors. It also looks like that company just resells the same castor, but spray paints the wheels a dark color to look old fashioned.I would just go to Grainger...minus the attitude.JanErik"The trouble with quotes on the Internet is that you can never know if they are genuine." - Abraham Lincoln |
