Hi, my name's Craig and I'm new to welding and very new to this forum.I recently got myself a '97 Miller Legend NT with an Onan P218 generator. And the Onan has an annoying little gas leak. More like a gas seep, coming from the bubble-style float and cap assembly that sits directly on top of the gas tank.Has anybody got an idea of what this part's name or number might be and where I might be able to acquire it? I searched the parts manual and couldn't find it there... Attached Images
Reply:I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at, but I believe that the gas tank was Miller installed, and not an Onan part. Anyway, are you saying that gas is seeping from around the gas cap?
Reply:Thank you that actually cracked the case for me. I was searching for an Onan part when it's obviously a Miller part. Called em up and got it ordered!
Reply:Okay then. Glad I could help. These engines were used in many things, and were probably installed in more tractors than welders. They had a number of "optional" parts (such as the governor, and muffler options), but the gas tanks were all application specific, and not part of the engine. |
