Traded for Linoln 175 squarewave

I traded a used laptop for a Lincoln 175 squarewave.  Was this a good deal? Got the welder(its heavy for such a small package), two torches the LN9 that came with it from the factory, a Black diamond 17, foot control, stinger, a bag full of collets, gas lenses, etc. the machine is just over three years old from date on receipt.

Reply:The little 175 is a pretty nice little Tig unit.  I have one that gets used regularly.  It doesn;t have all the bells and whistles, but it will get the job done nicely.  I don;t think he means an LN 9 (9 series) tig torch.  That was standard on the 175.  It didn't take long for me to go to the 17 series.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:Hammack is there anything I need to watch out for or lil tricks you found about this machine? So far I have burnt a few rods with it, haven't tried the tig as I am out of Argon.

Reply:My first and current TIG welder is a Lincoln 175 Square Wave TIG.  I bought it from an industrial auction.  I have been messing around with it for a few months and it is really easy to use, I liken it to an easy to use oxy/fuel torch.I have only welded steel, haven't tried any aluminum yet.It is an exceptional stick welder as well, much smoother than the Lincoln buzz box it replaced.  Having a DC stick welder is very nice as well.Chris
