Reply:i did a bit of math. just paid $79 for "S" tank of argon. tank is about 48" by 8" od. allowing for some thick walls i come up with a hair over one cubic foot. at flow of fifteen cfh i could barely louse up one tungsten... i doubt anyones tanks cf rating is based on actual cf's...my acetylene tank is similar size and has a tag says 132 cu ft. is this the amount of gas at atmospheric pressure thats stuffed into my tank?
Reply:Just got a 130 cu ft of acetylene from airgas at $56. Guy said Oxygen would be about $20.
