I cant remember who/where/when I saw it, but someone on this forum posted some pics of the table leg levelers/feet they built that was very clever. I cant remember the details, but I thought that if I ever needed to put some on my own table, I would.I now have a table. It could use adjustable levelers. But my memory is for crapola.Anyone able to help?Thanks!-az-
Reply:Maybe some sort of better description of what these great feet were like?My big crystal ball is in the shop getting polished and I just cant see the picts in your head well with this tiny screen on the loaner. Seriously, were they screw feet, sliding friction fit, pinned tube, flip down, trailer jack crank style or some other type? I can remember seeing examples of all of these at some time in the past. Any thing that might help? Remeber someone who posted a reply?I know I've tried to look back at a few great threads and can't find them. I've taken to copying links to some of the best to a word file along with a quick description of what they were and what I liked. A bit better than the group of saved picts I copied out of threads and then can't find the original later to see the rest.Good luck..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:i build leveling feet for my industrial furniture that conforms to any uneven surface, needed especially in converted lofts.  I'll laser cut a heavier duty version and not use aluminum heims when i get my weldsale platen.

Reply:Not sure if these are what you mean but look at a thread called Welding table build by Harold Mulder, that's me I have a few pictures in there about some feet levelers I built right into the legs of my welding table. Reply:You didn't say what you were going to use the levelers for but maybe this is what you are looking for. I made some vibration mount/levelers for my mill (3,000 lbs). I needed something that had a 3/4" shank that would go through the 5" thick base but I didn't want to have to lift the mill 8" - 9" up in the air to put them in. The commercially available ones had the shank permanently attached to the base and were very expensive. I bought a dozen hockey pucks online for $1 each and foung a pipe with an I.D. size that was a perfect fit for the O.D. of the puck. I cut pieces of pipe that were 2/3 as thick as the puck then welded a plate cap over one end and a 3/4" nut in the middle of the plate. I levered the mill up a couple inches at a time until I had it setting on a couple 4x4's. I could then drop 3/4" threaded rod through the hole in the base, put a washer and a nut on for adjustment, then screw on the cup with the puck in it. When I put it back on the ground I had adjustable vibration feet.Cut an MGB and widened 11" C4 Corvette suspension and LT1 Chevrolet power & 6 spd. Reply:You can buy levelers from McMaster Carr or Grainger. I bought some from McMaster. Mine are about 2.75 round pad with a 5/8 inch shaft and bolt. Mine were about $10 each. Attached ImagesLast edited by twooley; 03-12-2010 at 07:44 PM.Reason: add pics
