Reply:Wrap it with something. I'll bet you there's some kind of tape made for gymnastic equipment that would work.Jack OlsenMy garage website
Reply:He'll use it. Just pretty it up a bit for your daughter.Yeah, I carry.House keys, wallet, some change, usually a newspaper, maybe a pen.
Reply:How about some of that foam plumbing pipe insulation tube. You could wrap it in bicycle handle bar tape. Or some of that rubber tool dip stuff.I little padding and repackaging and you might just get the "sale" Good Luck!Bert200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:Pool noodles if you want color...
Reply:Tennis racket tape or bicycle handle bar tape. Maybe multiple layers to make it soft. And it ain't a walker with out wheels and tennis balls.....My name's not Jim....
Reply:LOL....It's weird how we're all 'Safety Conscious' regarding these kinds of things... Honestly, it DOES need 'something' to make it 'fit for a walker'. Insulation tubing and tennis balls are GREAT ideas BTW...Most dangerous thing I ever gave one of my kids was one of those STUPID yellow Buses with the little Animal Characters inside... You know, the ones you can push down on their heads and the bus lights up and the characters talk and 'crap like that'...He was using learning to walk and tripped over a toy car and landed on that bus and SPLIT his Freakin' EYEBROW 'WIDE' OPEN I checked it out and FINALLY Found that the 'inside' windows of the stupid BUS were sharp as hell.... I guess the Manufacturer forgot to notice that when they 'engineered' the 'injection mold'. Kid still has the scar....In any event,.. I dig the WALKER...!Cheers,/J...Miller Diversion 165120 amp Buzz BoxVictor Oxy/Ace Oxy/LPGSmith "Little" Oxy/LPGHypertherm Powermax 30Lot's of Misc. tools n' crap....
Reply:He will attempt to eat what ever you pad it with so the pipe insulation/pool noodle may not be best choice. Reply:hey guys thanks for the comments and help..i thought about armaflex pipe insulation, but as wagin says he will eat it( bert he has 8 teeth)...ever try to search for a child-safe paint? good luck..its easy to get data on voc's, but someone come out and say its safe for kids? no way...so wood can splinter when chewed, plastics can give off petrochemicals when chewed..at least steel only makes rust and i can steel wool that off now and then..and if he dont learn not to chew steel, it probably means hes dumb enough to be a good welder..
Reply:DON'T THROW IT IN THE TRASH YET!!!!!!!!!!Find a piece of automotive heater hose(or any other kind of good rubber hose) with the approximate correct inside dameter, slit the hose so it will fit over the arch, and cement into place as it's installed.Coating the steel arch with a good slow dry adhesive prior to slipping the hose on will make for a nice redesign. It'll be Mommy approved"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Good old rawhide. When the lil ones get to chewing on something it can be one sticky slobbery mess. Give them something they can bite into."The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt
