What is the difference in say a shorthood, a redface, a blackface, and a SA 200 from the 80's? Just curious i know everyone grabs up the shorthoods and the redfaces, not much discussed on the later models. Whats the scoop?
Reply:The shorty's and reds were all copper wound machines with the best arc characteristics. In the early 70's, they went to copper coated aluminum windings.
