I want to start learning how to weld 304 Stainless Schedule 10 and make Exhaust manifolds for cars and intercoolers. Which welder would be best for me? i was looking at getting a Miller Syncrowave 200 or the 250DX ? Any recommendations
Reply:I bought a SW250 fifteen years ago. The only change I'd make now, is to get a water-cooler. Weld times are limited by how hot I can hang on. In class, with a water-cooled torch, I can weld all night = 3 hours, with the same welder.9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey. Hobby weldor with a little training. Reply:Buy as big (amp output) as your wallet and power available allow. The Sync 250 is a significantly more capable machine than is the Sync 200. Allow a couple of hundred dollars for adding pulse to the Sync 250.
