A customer wanted me to weld a bunch of goose necks that he had machined out of aluminum for him. They were fun to weld, but more difficult than I first envisioned. They were still a little dirty for machining and had tight little corners to get around. Also, going from 1/4" or so thick on the flanges to a few thousandths for the body was a little tricky on the amperage.Another customer came in with a rack for his truck and I had to take some photos because of the way he mounted it... I kinda like the look. Maybe longer pieces of flat bar and round bolt heads for an older look would look pretty cool..
