Reply:I like the metal work, it's goodNow for my tat storyEx wife comes home one day, anounces we're goin' to Arkansas City (a little town just over the state line in Kansas) (back then tatoo parlors were illegal in Oklahoma)Ok, says IAfter hours in the pickup, my back feeling like a creaky spring, we arrive"I'm just gonna look"20 minutes later she's got her legs spread over the armrests on the chair, sitting backwards, with her *** sticking up in the airI figure we just advanced beyond the "looking" stageI don't particularly care to watch a nice rear end get ruined, so I go out and sit in the truck with Clarence. She comes out about 15 minutes later, informs me that if I don't care to stay, the gents in the tatoo parlor would be happy to give her a ride home (BACK TO CENTRAL OKLAHOMA)The first cracks in the mortar are small, but eventually the brick wall comes tumbling downIn retrospect, me and Clarence shoulda called it a night, and headed home by ourselves.  Woulda saved a lot of time and grief."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:Duane, the beauty of it all was the fact that Clarence was non-judgementalCalmed my nerves, and made the rest of the trip doableDON'T ANYBODY GET THIS WRONG..........I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST TATS ON DOODS, BUT I STILL BELIEVE IN THE FAIRER SEX"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Sam, What part of Oklahoma are you from?
Reply:I've built a ton of those over the past 10 years. Polished stainless, laser cut skulls for the base, nautical stars, crankshafts or camshafts for the post. They are kinda fun to do because they are easy and work great as tips. We have made a few with a panavise swivel under the "rest" part and artists seem to really like them. I bet I could make a ton of them and sell them at conventions. I dont know about the health inspectors in your area, but I made one with a hotrod flame theme - had it upholstered  with some red zodiac vinyl with yellow piping around the edges, and the health inspector said it wasnt safe because of the spaces that may not get cleaned right. I felt it was a moot point as the rest is wrapped up for every new client. Cant wait to see it finished.

Reply:I like it!  I won't steal your design of course, but I might have to ask my current artist if he could use one of these.  I need to go see him about some touchup work anyway... trading for work would be awesome, as I don't exactly make a big salary, and I've got my next three pieces of ink already planned.  Barter rules!
