My dads birthday is this Sat. And I just started welding this winter and wanted ro know any simple ideas for a birthday present. He likes things that are practical. Reply:A guy that I know was welding vertical weaves on plate with 7018 and he cut the welds out with a torch and made a 5X8 picture frame out of it for his grandma. It looked pretty cool.UA Local 598

Reply:not to get all mushy but.........your dad might appreciate you just spending time with him.  my dad recently passed away and i'm quiet sure he enjoyed the time my family spent with him.  good luck on a gift and happy birthday to your dad.dave.

Reply:Every tractor should have some sort of trailer hitch adapter for moving trailers if he has them.
