Reply:unitized finishing wheels for a grinder are the best thing I have ever found for prepping large runs of aluminum, they aren't cheap but you wont get a cleaner surface. No acetone needed either. And you can use them for blending out scratches or cuts, or as a prep tool for polishing.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:Do you have access to a timesaver sander? Timesave & dishwasher works great!Buy American, or don't whine when you end up on the bread line.
Reply:Nothing caustic like dran0 or oven cleaner. Denatured alcohol or acetone and a clean stainless brush.Don't bother brushing too many ahead of time... the oxide layer re-forms very quickly. |
