Reply:Loss of shield gas? Appears to be a bunch of whitish-yellow tungsten oxide deposited on the inside of the cup.
Reply:I do notice when I close the tank it will drop on the gauge. I will check the hoses and gauge tomorrow.  Also if i turn the amp down to around 120 it works fine.

Reply:check your lines, it seem like you are getting oxygen in your shielding hose. Reply:Normally ceriated (gray band) will take the heat much better on AC than thoriated tungsten (red band). I'd switch to ceriated for aluminum. I learned on balled pure (green band) but once I made the switch to ceriated I never looked back.
Reply:So a air leak can make it explode like that. In.the last pic u can see like the aluminum exploded.
