http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=350181144549Here's the machine I'm thinking of getting. I started with a Lincoln ac/dc stick, went to a flux core wire feed, then Power mig 255 , and now I'm ready to go TIG. What does everyone think about this Lincoln, like price, quality, features, etc. Thanks.
Reply:The precision tig 225 is a very good machine. It is a transformer machine, so it will use more power than an inverter welder. But if that is not your greatest concern, then I can say you will be very happy with that welder. And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
Reply:That's a Lincoln 225, not a "2535" (not even sure what that one is)The 225 is a great machine, I've got one. But pretty much any big-name machine is good. Any Lincoln, Miller, Hobart, etc.. on the market, are all going to give you a good welder. The only thing I don't like about the Lincoln 225 is the amperate setting nob. It jumps around quite a bit. But the machine runs fine."A winner isn't someone who doesn't lose, a winner is someone who doesn't quit."
Reply:Does anyone know what its duty cycle is at 225 amps? I looked at that link rojo put up and it only says 100% at 90 amps. Unless I missed it. Thanks.. |
