My welder is a Lincoln Power Mig 180C. I have the Argon/CO2 mix. Ran it off a generator (which I think isn't supplying enough power)How can I make these better
Reply:OK, your photos are too poor to evaluate the welds, out of focus. I'm not a MIG welder, either, altho I have used it quite a bit. Rule # 1, always CLEAN the metal your welding, buff it with a wire wheel, grind it enough to remove rust and scale, something. The quality of the weld is susceptible to rust and scale especially with MIG and TIG. Reply:weld a little and keep changing your wire feed settings until you can get a solid arc. set amperage based onmetal thickness, type, etc.. then get your wire feed speed right. not sure what to tell ya about argon settings, never used it. make sure you keep your metal CLEAN. i saw one of your welds over the coating, and that was the only one i could realy tell was bad.practice, practice, and practice. try to find someone to help ya a bit and it really isn't hard at allalso, you'll learn quick why welders never wear crocs. that fur WILL catch flame.
