Looking to pay for TIG training, just bought a Miller Diversion 180 and quickly found out "self training" isn't going to cut it (attempting aluminum). Any input you have would be greatly appreciated. I would be willing to come to your location with machine. Thanks, Jeff in Washington, MI

Reply:Followup? Did you guys ever plan a time to get together?
Reply:In southeast Michigan the best place (in my opinion) you will find is Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor. Check em out. I just spent a year and a half there in the welding program. You can take any class you want as an "audit" without worrying about prerequisites. The person you want to talk to is Glenn Kay. He's the department chairperson and a hell of a welder/welding instructor. The price might seem a little high but you won't find a better equipped facility in SE Mich.Good luck.EricAWS D1.1 Certified SMAW 3G Unlimited, Open Root FCAW-G 3G Unlimited, w/BackerCellular Tower Reinforcement Welding on the frozen tundra of the greater Mid-West |
