Did this table about 8 years ago.  Never had a good picture of it until now.  Ironically, the lady called me out of the a couple of months ago for another job. She got a number from the phone book and it happened to be me.  It is not rusting, it has a  faux finish to match the table top.  The only request prior to making the table was that it had to hold 400lbs of granite.  Material is 3/8" flat bar hot forged. Here is the new project.  1/4 flat bar scrolls.  Bent cold. That is not tubular cap.    Using tubular cap would have been too easy, I didn't consider it actually. I cut a piece of tubing in half and welded it to the cap.  It works for short rail like this and lambs tongues and volutes match exactly.  Detail is nicer than tubular stuff. It almost fit.  I guess I could have made them one on top of the other.  I built them individually in the frame on the table.  Ended up having to modify one side anyway since the columns to wall space was so different.Last edited by tapwelder; 10-05-2010 at 01:37 AM.
