Here is a few pic's of a couple if tig welds I did..there all single pass weaved...i have a couple more pic's I can post later. Im self taught with the help of a friend that is a good tig welder but I work so much its hard to get any lessons going on. Just looking for any help I can get to become a better welder, in any position! Now for the pic's.....
Reply:For being self taught, I'd say they look pretty good. Can't say I've ever seen the "weave" bead done with TIG before now though."SOUTHPAW" A wise person learns from another persons mistakes;A smart person learns from their own mistakes; But, a stupid person.............never learns.
Reply:I'd say grind yourself a couple of lines and follow them, it's easier to get a tidy weld with an edge to work to. What heat are you running?I'd rather be hunting........USE ENOUGH HEAT.......Drifting around Aussie welding more pipe up, for something different.....wanting to get home.
Reply:try to make you passes as straight as you can and feed you rod into the leading edge of the puddle. I feed rod about every second or so. Slow and steady works for me and watch the puddle.BrandonLincoln Tombstone 225 A/C Steel StickerOld Victor O2/Acetylene setupMiller Syncrowave 250 Tig/PC-300 PulserMiller Millermatic 212 Mig HTP Invertatig 201 Giant Teck D50 Plasma cutterLots of HF grinders |
