My daughter-in-law has an coffee table 48 X 48 that is made of what looks like cast steel it is a scroll design with top and bottom runs 1/2 in sq with the scrolls made of 1/2 in, She wanted it cut down to 24 X 48. I have both a mig and Tig welder available and thought I would most likely use the tig but not sure of what filler rod to use. I will have some scrap after cutting to practice on but need a head start on the filler.
Reply:Brazing might be a better option than welding.
Reply:Use ni rod for stick!
Reply:70S-anything if you tig it...if it is really cast steel...If so then no biggie....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
