Hello,I just recently purchased a HK Porter 2790 Angle Iron Shear in order to make custom frames out of 14 gauge slotted angle iron. I need to be able to butt each end together at a 45 degree angle to form a picture frame. It did not come with a users manual and the descriptions on the sites say it will cut 45 degree angles but I just cant seem to figure out how to cut them on both ends. 90 degrees is obvious and I can cut a 45 on the backside of the shear but struggling to cut the oposite end angle. If someone has a users manual they could scan or provide any instruction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.Ed
Reply:They may meen by making 90* corners, that you cut a 90* into one flat on the angle, then fold it into a 90* corner. Hope you understand what I meant.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Looks like you will have to make a 90 degree cut first. Then insert only the leg of angle iron that you want to cut at a 45 degree angle and make a second cut. Drop off will look like a triangle 45 / 90 / 45.Thanks,HoboLincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Growing partial to the "Short Hoods" in my old age. Last count on Short Hoods was 13 in possession.
