I have used this machine quite a bit in the field, mostly for TIG of stainless and 1/16" s.s. rod. But I have a job coming up that is to welding 3/8" x 4" flatbar (extending a few ladders). I think I can run 3/32 7018 hot enough to do the job, but I'm wondering if anyone has run into duty cycle issues.-MikeCommon sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:Are you planning on 110v or 220v? Run 3/32 about 90 amps +/-. If running on 220v don't worry about it. Mine will eat as much 1/8" as I can feed it on 220v.My name's not Jim....
Reply:ya at 90 amps or there about you shouldnt have any problems with the duty cycle |
