I hate to post this right after Zora's hand rails. That's a hard act to follow!Anyway, here's my little project.I was thinking it might be something I could sell over the winter.Until that is, I rolled the 4th tube on my Harbor Freight roller, and realized I probably couldn't roll another one for a while. When one of you guys puts a motor on that thing, I'd love to see it. In the mean time what are some other projects that have been done with it? I bought it months ago, and this is the first real thing I've thought of that required it.My pieces came out a little more helical than I'd hoped for. I suppose a rail level might have helped. It would really be nice to have some kind of a guide. With just me working it, it would be hard to keep it straight even with the level. The second strike against the idea of selling it was finding out they sell a log rack at Lowe's that's a little nicer, and comes with a cover, and it's only $75..Anyway, now I've got one and no one else has one exactly like it. Reply:Yeah, but I bet the one at Lowes isn't as sturdy, and will fall apart in  couple years. Yours looks great, you made it, and it looks like it will last awhile.
Reply:Now that is cool. Very nice looking rackYa gotta spend money to make money!
Reply:Did you put caps on the ends?I like it a lot, great job!
Reply:Looks nice. I was thinking that pict of the piece in the roller looked like a piece of sculpture..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Awesome work,I had to show it off to my family members when I saw it.What type of material are you using? It has that really nice dull finish with gun metal type color that I associate with titanium, but I suspect it's some kind of stainless.

Reply:you could make a j shape out of it and have more aesthetic potentialalso you could continue the upper arch into sort of a large c that covers the top so you could have a roof over it to keep the snow off Attached Imagesforney f100 220vmiller thunderbolt 225v a/ccampbell hausfield flux welder 115vcraftsman o/a rig(harris)collosal tech plasma cutter 50amp

Reply:anytime you walk through the stores you will see some 18 ga smoker that shakes when you touch it and is bolted together, for $299.. i built mine entirely from scrap, it weighs 300 pounds, my grankids will give it to their grandkids..pisss on that overseas stuff, keep maling your own good stuff...
Reply:Nice rack.      I kind of like the design.  Simple, clean, not the 'usual' hoop or rectangular rack.  The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...
Reply:Nice, Like it a lot, If you wanted you could continue the top C shape into the complete circle and There would be something to attach a roof to if required, (and a lot more storage) just make sure that the base is wide enough with the extra weight up top.Lincoln SP-170 MigHypertherm powermax 45Lorch T220 AC/DC TigButters FM 215 synergic MigKemppi 180 adaptive mig RULES ARE FOR THE OBEDIENCE OF FOOLS AND THE  GUIDANCE OF WISE MEN.

Reply:swag off road has some nice add ons for the harbor freight roller... i have a couple die sets from them, and they make these weld on side arms that is supposed to reduce the effort involved in rolling the tube.http://www.swagoffroad.com/HF_Tubing..._On_Wings.html
Reply:Nice looking work.  I have used one of this rollers myself. Make 3 or 4 more projects like that and you will take all commers arm wrestling.
