Im doing some work on a 1951 chopped ford truck with a 383 in it and am going to get about $500 to go towards buying myself a mig welder. Im needing one so I can finally weld up all the sheet metal on my 57 ford and random things around the shop. Im mostly going to be welding metal 1/8" and down, so what should I get?My vintage equipment 1957 Lincoln sa 2001980's Lincoln 225 AC1952 F-2 ford truck1957 F-250 ford truck
Reply:Millermatic 140 if you only have 110 volt power. If you have 220v power, then a Millermatic 180 or 211 would be a good choice. HTP makes some nice machines too. www.htpweld.comMM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op |
