Copper to T304 TIG welding

I would like to know if it is possible to TIG weld copper plumbing fittings to T304 stainless. The application is welding 2" and 3" copper sweat fittings to the ends of T304 flexible corrugated metal hose. The current practice is silver brazing, but being able to TIG would be much faster and cheaper.  Any advise would be appreciated!
Reply:I have tig welded copper to 316 stainless with 316 filler, on a test piece. Then twisited the copper, the copper twisited heaps and the weld was solid. I would be concerned that if the thermal expansion of the two different metals is to great, then this may lead to the joint "work hardening" over a long time, and the joint may fail in the long run.  I understand that stainless expands and contracts the most of all metals. This effect would be more exaggerated will a hot water system. Just my thorey.Mick
Reply:You might try and use the tig torch with the silver solder, especially if you are using a no flux solder. Keep the heat low, and don't form a full puddle.And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Reply:im gonna second obewan that brazing is a much better solution to this problem.
