I took a Craftsman riding lawnmower, weight lifting rack, and some 3/4 x 3/4 x 2 foot scrap square tubing and built us a dump wagon to pull behind 4wheeeler (atv). Reply:Looks like the Club Weider got a new life, and its finally being lifted! Looks good man.
Reply:Thats really cool. I like how you added outriggers to stabilize it when your using the davit.
Reply:Thanx for the replies.I like breaking, tearing apart, rebuilding, and building things, but fair warning it doesn't always go back together. The Club Weider Rack was sold, but never received cash and took it apart. I lost the bolts to put it back together so I had to do something with it. The rack was used for the pivot/lift arm, angle brace on it, and for the stabilizer/outriggers. Both are totally removable for when I throw the kids in it and drag them around. The lawn mower was sort of a donor. We used motor and mowing deck on different project and didn't know what to do with it. We always needed a small trailer around here and then it was born. Of course it is obvious I used the lawn mower frame, axles, steering linkage (steer tires turn when tongue turns), and battery compartment.Again thanx for the replies. We are on our way to being farmers! Reply:If you have it build it. If I could do it over I might make the bed a foot narrower. No reason just think it would look better and give it a longer look. It measures 4 feet wide x 5 feet long x 16 inches tall in front and sides. Then slopes down to 12 inches tall at the end with a 12 inch removable tailgate. I might also have made the square tubing extandable sort of like crossed between a cherry picker and a receiver hitch. Then it would reach out in different lengths to pick up farther or closer to wagon when lifting from side. Might redo it later or make another wagon all together.I think next I'm going to make 1 or 2 baskets for it. Example: 2 feet wide x 2 feet deep x 2 feet tall. Then I can put stuff in it and pick it up from side with winch and put in wagon.Last edited by ToolBoxTavern; 12-29-2010 at 02:47 PM.We are on our way to being farmers!
