i counted 8 cutting boards hanging onthe kitchen wall. old storage method was a piece of 1 x 3 pine spanning a few studs with some spikes nailed into it to hang the boards on. i got the idea to make a basket to hang on the wall and hold them .still needs paint and hanging but it seems neater to me... Reply:I don't know if you're into country theme at all but...... I think some old rope and leather wrap instead of paint would be sweet! That turned out very nice thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.

Reply:Larry, I was just going to ask that ? Looks like some kind of fine white sand or sumthin all over the place? The rack is keen, it'll make the storage much better. I'd not paint it, let it age/patina or maybe a wrap of some kind would be nice. Would the paint rub off on the boards?Darned fineLincoln Power MIG 215Lincoln WeldPak 3200HDLincon ProCut 25Lincoln WeldanPower 225 AC/DCIf all else fails... buy more tools

Reply:got it hung..gonna give the bare look a chance..i was thinkin if that doesnt float i'll look into powdercoating as less likely to contaminate the boards then rustoleum would....wife has already mentioned that the wall needs paint..... Attached Images
Reply:1/2 vinegar 1/2 bleach and time = eventually a nice patina. For us it's that cabinet with numerous lightweight metal trays for baking... she must have 50 of them stacked. You get out one... you get them all out. Bigger thought is fellas arer always posting to build sumthin' to sell? This is a good example and includes almost anything a person can use for a kitchen. Most women, excepting our own dear Monica, are not particularly good at welding so it might be a good choice. Widen it a bit and we can add outdoor cooking accessories too.ps: has the white plague outside been identified yet?Lincoln Power MIG 215Lincoln WeldPak 3200HDLincon ProCut 25Lincoln WeldanPower 225 AC/DCIf all else fails... buy more tools
